Mrs. Bukola Smith Non-Executive Director

Mrs. Bukola Smith is a seasoned financial services executive with over 30 years of experience spanning commercial banking, investment banking, treasury and strategic leadership. She currently serves as the Managing Director/CEO of FSDH Merchant Bank and sits on the board of FSDH Capital as a Non-Executive Director.
She holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos. Bukola is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, and an Associate Member of the Certified Institute of Pensions (Nigeria).
Prior to FSDH, she held several executive roles at First City Monument Bank (FCMB), including Executive Director, Business Development. She was instrumental in establishing key initiatives such as SheVentures (FCMB’s women-focused SME support platform), FCMB Trustees and FCMB Custody. Her portfolio also included leadership of treasury, internal audit and oversight of the bank’s investment banking and registrar subsidiaries.
Beyond the boardroom, Bukola is passionate about mentoring and women’s empowerment. She serves on the boards of Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR) and the Toyin Oni Foundation, an NGO focused on cancer awareness, and continues to mentor young professionals within and beyond these networks.
