Job Description: Product Designer

Cardtonic is Africa’s leading platform for Virtual Dollar Cards, gift card trading, bill payments, and gadgets. Millions already trust us to power their payments — but behind every seamless experience is intentional, human-centered design.

We’re looking for a Product Designer who can craft intuitive, visually stunning, and user-friendly experiences that make complex fintech tools feel effortless. This isn’t just about pretty interfaces; it’s about designing systems that solve real problems and empower millions across Africa.

What We Expect From You

• Designing intuitive user interfaces and crafting seamless user experiences across web and mobile.
• Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate ideas into impactful products.
• Conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design improvements.
• Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that align with our product goals.
• Maintaining and evolving Cardtonic’s design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Delivering designs that balance aesthetics, performance, and business objectives.
• Iterating quickly based on feedback and data — shipping fast, learning faster.
• Documenting design processes, rationale, and guidelines for cross-team alignment.
• Staying informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices in product and UI/UX design.

Product Designer Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design thinking, visual design, and product problem-solving.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Deep understanding of design systems, user flows, and responsive design principles.
• Experience collaborating closely with developers (especially React.js & Node.js teams).
• Comfort with conducting and interpreting user research, data analytics, and A/B testing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills — you can explain design choices and rationale clearly.
• At least three years of experience in a product design role.
• Availability to support urgent product or UI updates when needed.
