Mr. Toyin Owolabi is a seasoned finance professional with over two decades of experience in the banking and financial services industry, with deep expertise in financial institutions, treasury management, correspondent banking and structured finance.
He currently serves as the Group Head of Financial Institutions at FSDH Merchant Bank, where he oversees and nurtures relationships with a broad network of non-bank financial institutions and institutional clients. His leadership also extends to the bank’s wealth management and correspondent banking operations, ensuring client needs are met with innovative and efficient financial solutions.
Prior to joining FSDH, Mr. Owolabi held various strategic roles at First City Monument Bank (FCMB), where he was instrumental in driving growth across the Financial Institutions and Structured Funding teams. He also previously served as Head of Treasury at IMB International Bank, where he managed liquidity, investments, and funding operations.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Ilorin and an MBA from Business School Netherlands. In addition to his academic qualifications, Mr. Owolabi has participated in numerous local and international executive programs, further strengthening his capabilities in strategic financial management and institutional relationship-building.
